Those HSBC bank ads are the perfect example of different perceptions. i see them everywhere now and i can see the three different points. there is one of a wallet that show the misfortune of losing the wallet the burden of finding the wallet and having it on your concence if you don't return it and the luck someone can think they have for finding money. they are very interesting but very true because not everyone is the same and those are the three main thoughts that will pass by someone mind when a wallet is lost

While walking home from the train i saw a HSBC bank ad that shows how people perceptions are different. The ad is of a woman that is about to get plastic surgery and has the pen marks on her face to what she was going to lift or change. The same picture is repeated three times but they have a different saying under each picture. Confidence, Luxury, Vanity three different reason why woman get pastic surgery. Then they saying is "Different values make the world a richer place."

People perception are indeed different, so how do certain companies get different people to buy their same stuff. i got a email today for a shoe company that i thought was very interesting. It had the same pair of pumps on 2 totally different girls. The first picture was a white lady wearing her pumps with her business suit. Then beside it there was a lady of color wearing the same pumps but with a mini skirt as if she was going to a night club. So basically they are showing the same shoes in to different scenarios, i take it as they are putting them selves in 2 totally different peoples shoes (literally) in efforts to sell the same shoe

This commercial is clearly targeting Spanish people. From The Spanish music in the back and the guy rapping/singing Reggaeton (Spanish reggae). To the Spanish channel shown on the TV. The girls and the guys that are rapping are all Spanish. You also get the feeling that they are in the Caribbean somewhere because of the palm trees and pretty beach. And most important it mentions that you can call Puerto Rico for free if you take the package.

This commercial is intended for African-American men. All the men in the commercial are black and they are talking in "slang" when they say wazzup which is whats up.

GM is cutting cost in its advertising department. They will no longer advertise for "smaller sports" such as skiing. They also will only advertise during the games if its a college sport. GM's sales and shares at a all time low and the company is making all necessary budget adjustment to try to keep the company afloat. Advertising is one place where they are making lots of changes and lots of cuts.

In more efforts to cut cost GM has is suspending some workers benefits. they will no longer match nonunion workers 401k. They will also eliminate its scholarship program and its financial assistance for tuition and adoption. Its has been said that not many companies go down this path which only shows how bad GM is truly doing.

For the first time this year Toyota beat GM sales in China. For the past 7 months GM has stayed steady in its China market but since August the sales have dropped. GM is losing most of its sales to the Japanese automakers Toyota. It seems as GM closes down plants Toyota opens them. Be careful GM looks like Toyota trying to take your place as the worlds largest automakers.
