For the first time ever GM is putting the Cadillac Escalade on their red tag event sale. With sales at a all time low it seems like GM will do anything to pull that holiday traffic their way, even if it means making less profit on one of their top sellers. The 09 Cadillac Escalade, ESV and the hybride are all included in this sale along with a lot of other GM cars. Happy Selling GM

While watching the cartoon cars for the million time today i noticed one detail that i thought was so funny. Towards the end the navy car has a few cars in his boot camp. He telling them how they gonna ride through the hills and get dirty. There is a huge hummer with 22'' rims that says that he never been off road and doesn't want to mess up his rims. This is a perfect example of how a lot of people use these cars that are built for a tough life style to be more of a fashion item. I thought it was halarious.

its funny how the holidays come around and you start seeing commercials that you haven't seen in months maybe years. Britney Spears has a perfume called fantasy which was heavily commercialized in previous years. I don't know why it was taken out the market maybe because of all her bad publicity but all i know is that i been seeing it again a lot lately. Christmas sales are very important!

GM makes another cut. As read in the Daily News Tiger Woods have been cut as GM Buick man. he was reported getting about 7 million a year and had a contract until the end of 2009 on which GM will opt out of. They worked together for 9 years and GM goal was to give the Buick a younger image.

Other recent big pull outs for GM are the 2009\super Bowl, Oscars and Emmys

With the famous black Friday being this week all i see in the papers, TV and even online is advertisement for all the "Big" Sales. I do remember Macy's always advertising all "one day sales" but this year there is like a boom of advertisement for this day. Could it be the economic crisis that has all these companies announcing how great their sales, red tag event, end of year clearance ect.

Advertising has many forms. Commercials are one of the most popular ways to advertise. Advertisers want you to remember the product so they use tools such as a catchy song to make you remember the commercial which then makes you remember the product. I remember when i was a little girl one of my favorite commercials was the Jello commercial with Bill Cosby that sang J-E-L-L-O.... its alive. i would sing it all the time and of course i always wanted jello right after. Today i noticed that i heard one commercial so many times it drove me crazy! Then when my baby nephew starting singing it (in his own little way b/c he is only 1) i knew that the commercial just airs too much! Save by zero the Toyota commercial came on at least 20 times throught the day. yes its on during football for "men" but boy did that commercial annoy me! So this just shows over advertising something can work in both ways.

While flipping through the pages of a "high end" magazine i noticed that a few companies like Gucci took over most of the magazine buy taking over full pages (sometimes both pages that stand side by side and sometimes even a storyline) with ads. They don't advertise the same products over and over they take advantage of all the products that they have extended out. Gucci more famously know for bags have spreads of their clothes, accessories, shoes, fragrances and sunglasses all throughout the magazine. They know by just putting the name Gucci on a product will make it sell, especially to people who buy one of their products and likes it.

Proactive acne solution was created in 2003 by Drs. Rodan and Fields, skin care experts. Its a system used to control and prevent breakouts. The three step system that is dermatologist developed includes the flowing steps; first the Renewing Cleanser, then the Revitalizing Toner and final the Repairing Lotion. The line also includes other lotions, cleansers and sunblocks. It quickly has become one of the most advertised acne treatment in the US. With a long list of celebrity spokesmen/women such as
Ryan Sheckler who is a famous skate board rider,
Jessica Simpson a famous singer/actor ,
Serena Williams famous tennis player and
Vanessa Williams Former Ms USA/singer/actor.

They obviously target all subcultures and ages by infomercials and ads. You can only purchase the products online at www.Proactive.com as well as at kiosk in a lot of shopping malls. They clearly state that there's may not be no cure for acne Proactive Solution says that they treats acne safely and effectively by attacking it at the source. That's where the build-up of dead skin cells and bacteria clogs the pores. "Our Combination Therapy acne management system combines finely-milled, prescription-grade benzoyl peroxide with sulfur and soothing botanicals like allantoin, panthenol, aloe and chamomile. Together these ingredients gently exfoliate your skin, unplug your pores, attack acne-causing bacteria, and soothe inflammation" is the most information they give on their website on how the product is made. They differentiate them selves by saying that their product wont leave your sink dry making it peel or have the chemical smell that other companies have.

Charity Williams who is 18 is a Proactive Solutions user and says "I could start seeing improvements after the first week"

Faith Oliver-Robertson 39 says"After about 3 days... I could definitely tell it was making a difference, because my face was no longer hurting."

While watching the movie Iron man tonight there was one detail that popped out at me. Every scene that had a high speed race, an entrance of someone "important"by car, or a crash in the movie the car was always an Audi. This is one of the new ways that companies are advertising these days. Putting their products in a film that they know will be success is great exposure for your products.

Human billboards is the new thing! For instance poker has become a very famous game lately and when something is hot everyone wants a piece of the action. Many websites pay the well known players as well as players that will appear on TV playing the game big bucks to wear shits, jackets and hats that have the name of their sites. Its a cleaver way to advertise a poker site to poker players.

Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 precisely at midnight during an electrical storm, to a Serbian family in his village. He did his studies in Europe and moved to the US in 1884 to work in the "Edison Machine Works". Tesla was the first to demonstrate the transmission of electrical energy without wires and in 1899, but is better know for his achievements in telecommunications. Nikola also worked hard and long on high frequency radio waves. His genius in telecommunications would be either discarded or used by others like Edison. Every contact center or cell phone company, or answering service owes the man a great deal. From AT&T to Sprint, to now Yahoo/SBC and so on. they all owe Tesla for being the genius that he was and helping make the telecom field what it is today.

An oldie but a goodie

US top three automakers are still looking for a bail out loan to "save the companies and the economy" GM, Chrysler and Ford plead their case to congress today as to why this loan is needed. While GM said that their problems have not only come about today. Senator Christopher Dodd told the leaders of GM, Chrysler and Ford Motor Co. that the industry was "seeking treatments for wounds that I believe to a large extent were self-inflicted." because of"inefficient production" and "costly labor agreements" that put the U.S. automakers at a disadvantage to foreign companies. The autocompanies responed by reminding them how many jobs would be lost ( in the millions). The final result... another meeting in December. So what does this all mean? I dont know but i hope someone figures it out!

Everyone knows who is Opera, what many people don't know is that Opera is also a example of brand extension. She doesn't just host a talks show she has the O magazine, the O store and is involved in radio and TV productions , donation networks (Opera Angel Network), and book clubs .

While at the O store i noticed there are products for everyone in the family. Men, woman, baby, even pet. As well as there being home products as well as seasonal products as well. She has branched out in every way possible.
